Back in the days, a lot of metal objects were known by the places they were crafted in. This is how this Lota got it’s name.

We have added a lid to the lota to give it a little twist. The cashew motif on top to make it easier to lift the lid and also to highlight the Konkan connection of the Tambat artisans, who love to use kaju/ cashew in their cuisine.

Your container needs daily care to prevent the oxidation process of copper. Wash with a soft cloth and Pitambari or lime & salt or vinegar & salt or tamarind. Wipe dry immediately or else water residues will leave stains. Some waters cause dark spots on copper. To remove, apply tamarind or vinegar or lime concentrate and leave for 15 minutes. Wash off with clean water. To clean the wooden components of your product, wipe with a soft dry cloth. Never use detergents or cleaning solutions on the wooden components.
