Description

Move over candle lights, here comes the original Oil Lamp in its Sanchi Avatar. Inspired by the hemispherical domes of the stupas of Sanchi, our handspun oil lamps are meditative and aesthetic.

The lamps are spun by hand out of copper and brass sheets. The fuel chamber can hold upto 25 ml of oil. Pour oil, insert wick and light the lamp and you are good to go for two to three hours.

Care Instructions

Since copper is a pure metal, it oxidises on exposure to the atmosphere. The lacquer coat retards the oxidation and helps retain the shop-sheen of the copper product. In time, your lacquered products may darken and the copper will begin to acquire a patina as it ages. To clean, wipe with a dry or soft moist cloth. Never wash your lacquered products.
